That pretty much says it. Alito has the record to oppose. Oppose it! Win or go down on principle and run ('06 & '08) on the fallout.
Grassroots, State Organizations, DNC, and Congress: we have the cause(s)and now's the time.

Right on. Dems have nothing to lose by opposing Alito: he's going to be confirmed no matter what we do. We need to stand against the nomination and the rightward lurching of the Court. If we lose, at least we will have stated our arguments, and the Dem base will be energized. I hope we've all learned that simply going along with this right-wing administration (a la 2002) leads to disaster, for the Democratic Party, and the nation.
